Back Steps from weightless
smoke from my 4th spliff
disappearing with dust
into the air beyond
where the black cat
scratches its paws
against the tree
& I remember again

on the backsteps
half a stone thinner
with a glass of red
& a £2.59 bottle
of Sainsbury’s cider
3 litres new & improved
to carry me further
than any country
where you roam
with your skin
I cry for
